“I have good news for Vlora people and Meta”/Rama: Competition is opened for the rest of Lumi i Vlorës road that connects Vlora with Selenica

TIRANA, February 18 /ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama said that the competition is opened for the rest of the Lumi i Vlorës road with segment 4 that connects Vlora with Selenica.

In a statement for Top-Channel television from Vlora, Rama focused on some ongoing infrastructure investments in Vlora, especially regarding the project for the reconstruction of the Vlora-Orikum segment, which is funded by the Saudi Fund, a project that was blocked by President Meta.

“I have very good news for the people of Vlora and maybe also for Meta. It depends on how he will get to know and understand this news. The competition for the rest of the road to the Vlora River that has to do with segment 4 that connects Vlora with Selenica is open “, said the prime minister.

Also, Rama said that, “We are also at the end of the procedure for starting the project with the Saudi Fund. We had to address once again the Saudi authorities which showed willingness to move to the next level. The other road, that of Radhima, which has started, will be accompanied by the continuation of the project on Lungomare from the Saudi Fund “.

The new connecting road from Uji i Ftohtë to Radhimë and Orikum, 11 kilometers, is expected to significantly facilitate the circulation in this important segment towards the Coast, but also to create an infrastructure worthy of the tourist Vlora. The bicycle lane will be added to the existing road, along with new elements of urban furniture. Meanwhile, a new road will ensure the separation of car traffic from the existing route, which will be turned into a pedestrian zone in the part of Radhima, where priority will be given to vacationers and service units in the area. /r.e/p.s./
