TIRANA, Feb 15 /ATA/ The Albanian Road Authority announced on Monday afternoon that the showers have stopped throughout the territory, yet the freezing temperatures continue to prevail in the country . In an update of the situation created by the bad weather conditions, ARA states that the contractors are on the ground to clean up the axes and spread salt.
Thus, according to ARA, in the northern region the vehicles use snow chains on the axes: Trebisht-Customs, Cerenec Bridge-Klenjë, Trebisht-Customs, Peshkopi-Qafë-Drajë, Qafë-Bualli-Krastë.
In the central region, on the axis Qafë-Thanë-Customs at Useku, the traffic is moving on one lane, work is ongoing to clear the road. Vehicles use snow chains on the axes: Qafë Priskë-Shëngjergj, Qafë-Priskë – Qafë-Mollë, Trau i Dajtit-Teleferik, Lunik – Fushë-Studë-Klenjë, Krujë-Sarisalltik, Elbasan-Gjinar, Gramsh-Kodovjat, Mollë-Grab.
“All drivers should be equipped with winter tires or chains, slow down the speed, respect road signs and guidance of the Traffic Police,” ARA says.
