TIRANA, February 13 /ATA/- Prime Minister Edi Rama stated that, “The arrest of Kruja judge and the decision of the Strasbourg Court constitute a historic moment of the Albanian justice passing into another phase”.
Rama said that, “In Albania and in our society and in function of our future, something historic has happened last week. Something historic has happened and gone unnoticed or seen as a common event, just like the others. The arrest of the judge in Kruja and her entire network and the decision of the Strasbourg Court to reject the request of a former judge dismissed by the vetting, considering the blow by the vetting legitimate, constitute a historic moment of the Albanian justice transition to another stage”, he stressed.
Rama said that, “This is an example of how the system will work and it takes a lot of patience”.
“The establishment of new institutions, the creation of the SPAK, the start of investigative processes, the necessary research, the collection of evidence are a difficult process; they take their time. But, can you tell me who thought 7 years ago that the justice system would enter into the cleaning process of the vetting”.
“Along with that judge, a doctor was arrested, the head of a hospital ward as an enormous amount of money was found in his house. It’s very good news for the system that this will increase people’s confidence to denounce.”/p.s./
