TIRANA, February 8 /ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama praised today the role of the media for any denunciation of cases of abuse in hospitals, especially under conditions when the justice system has not yet been reformed. But, he noted, the other side of the coin should be presented, and the great work that doctors and nurses are doing in hospitals.
“The denunciation of a few days ago at the TV broadcast ‘Stop’ is a reason to feel bad as they do not give credit to our health system. The culmination was the case of the sanitary worker who acted like a real monster by deceiving an entire family to make money “, said Rama during a press conference focusing on health.
The prime minister said that through highlighting these cases you have made a great contribution so that to address them, whether when the case is of a criminal nature, as the case in question, or when it is not of a criminal nature, but problematic regarding the administration of enforcement of rules or whatever makes the health service complex.
But, in the meantime, he added, there are thousands of people receiving the proper service, while the system works best for the vast majority of cases and people, as long as the figures and facts say so, as the number of those who go to the hospital and are released recovered is considerable. And this means a great responsibility.
Prime Minister Rama stressed that there are 65 thousand operations performed in Albania every year, plus mini-invasive interventions amount to 90 thousand./p.s./
