TIRANA, February 4 /ATA/ State Election Commissioner Ilirjan Celibashi held a meeting today with the British Ambassador to Albania Duncan Norman.
The talks focused on the electoral process for the upcoming general elections of April 25.
Celibashi acquainted the British ambassador with the preparations for the election process and assured him that the Central Election Commission (CEC) is working with responsibility so that the upcoming elections meet the required standards.
According to Celibashi, “Ambassador Duncan affirmed the UK’s support to CEC. He said that we are working with all Albanian institutions and partners to ensure that the upcoming elections meet the highest standards “.
The ambassador wrote on Twitter, “Met Election Commissioner Celibashi to discuss Albania’s April 25 elections & reaffirm UK’s support to the Central Electoral Commission. We are working with institutions & our implementing partners to ensure that this years’ elections meet the highest standards”./r.e/p.s./
