TIRANA, February 2 /ATA/- During a meeting in the municipal unit No 5 with the local residents of the area, Mayor of Tirana Erion Veliaj reacted to the statements of the opposition on soft loans and the baby bonus. He said that, “When in local and central government, Basha and Kryemadhi did not do any of these”.
“Baby’s bonus today amounts to 1 million and 200 thousand Lek. Basha and Kryemadhi say they will give the baby bonus! Yes, you were in control of the government, you had the Municipality of Tirana, and there are still parents who ask for 50 thousand lek that Basha did not give them. I heard them talk about soft loans, too. We have provided about 1 thousand per year in 6 years. Whereas, when Basha and Kryemadhi were in government, 1 thousand loans were passed in 4 years and all the MPs, deputy ministers and guards of January 21 were on the lists. So, Basha and Kryemadhi consider people in need the deputy ministers, the MPs and those who are ready to kill for the party. But for us, the people in need are the young couples, who have proven how with 0% interest loans they have made new homes, in a city where the value of the property is increasing every day”, stressed Veliaj./p.s./
