Basha tax/Wealthy people benefit, but it’s a disadvantage to poor people/An ill-omen for opposition

TIRANA, February 1/ATA/ The Chairperson of the Parliamentary group of the Socialist Party Taulant Balla asked the opposition in Parliament to vote today on the law on Asylum appreciating it one of the requirements that Albania must fulfill towards the European Union.

In his speech in the Assembly where the law on Asylum is being discussed, Balla said that, “This is a very important law, an obligation that Albania has in the framework of the European integration process.”The opposition and the chairwoman of the European Integration Commission and at the same time the chairwoman of the National Integration Council should support it because it fulfills one of her homework.”

Balla said that “I am glad that the Parliamentary opposition is participating in the elections and I am glad that its representatives are visiting Albania in areas that has not been before. At least you, the new parties, are not making the blunder of a political party, which after being in opposition for 7 years, now sends a letter to the people and asks them what is wrong with you.”

Speaking about the Democratic Party program, Balla said that, “Lulzim Basha plans to abolish the economic aid scheme. Fortunately, this plan will never be applied, because the chances for Basha to take over the government are equal to the chances of Belshi team to be declared the champion in football. But, the idea of these political charlatans, who in 2021 try to restore a policy that benefits the rich and disadvantages the poor, is a ill-omen for the opposition.”

“The Socialist Party, on the day it took over the country, did what Albania needed, 97% of Albanians are taxed less, only 3% are taxed more. I say, small business is a commitment and today it is a fact. Those who have a turnover of up to 140 million old lekë do not pay profit tax and those who are under 100 million old lekë do not pay VAT. This is a social policy and support for small business “, – added Balla./k.s/p.s./
