TIRANA, Jan.22 /ATA/- The political leader of the Socialist Party in the Elbasan region, Taulant Balla held on Friday a meeting with business representatives in Belsh.
The business representatives praised the support measures taken by the government, such as zero VAT and zero profit tax for small business in order to alleviate the fiscal burden for business considered the most vulnerable and hardest hit by the COVID-19 crisis.
“The Socialist Party has always provided support for the small business, unlike those that support the oligarchs,” Balla said.
“The Socialist Party stands by small business and has nothing to do with claims raised with regard to oligarchs. The biggest client of the oligarchs is Lulzim Basha, who has shown that his family businesses represent the biggest employee of these oligarchs. Most of the 100 largest businesses in the country pay for Luli’s brother-in-law’s business to advertise. While this government has taxed large businesses several times more than large businesses were taxed under Sali Berisha and Lulzim Basha,” Balla said. //a.i/
