TIRANA, Jan.20 /ATA/- As of January 1, 2021, the basic monthly minimum wage, nationwide for employees, mandatory to be applied by any legal or natural person, local or foreign is 30,000 ALL, the Tax Administration announced on Wednesday.
According to Tax Administration, the gross monthly income will be not less than the minimum monthly wage, equal to 30,000 ALL and up to 132,312 ALL for employed, self-employed persons and equal to the minimum monthly wage of 30,000 ALL, for unpaid employees of the family with which the self-employed persons work and legally live.
As much as twice the national minimum wage of 60,000 ALL, for self-employed persons and unpaid family employees with whom the self-employed persons work and live.
At the end of 2013, 473,506 people have been employed in Albania, while at the end of 2019, 698,235 employed citizens have been registered.
According to the official data published by the General Directorate of Taxation, there are 225,000 more employees compared to 2013. //a.i/
