TIRANA, Jan 20 /ATA/ Former DP MP, Albana Vokshi, stated on Wednesday that the government lied to the teachers about salary raise, not to mention its failure to take any measures to ensure minimum teaching conditions for students and teachers alike.
At a news briefing, Vokshi said that “Rama has not taken any measure to cope with the pandemic impact on education. Online learning was a failure. Approach to blended classes was a failure either.”
“Unfortunately, the only instruction of the government to protect from COVID is to open and close windows in schools in temperatures that go below zero,” she said, adding that schools have been left in the cold without heating systems and classes have been significantly reduced.
“During 8 years in government, they never prioritized quality education which comes with decent treatment of teachers,” Vokshi said.
