2019 recorded 225 thousand more registered employees compared to 2013

TIRANA, Jan 19 /ATA/ – By Maela Marini/ Prime Minister Edi Rama, at a news conference focused on economy on Tuesday, said that “2013 recorded 473 506 employees, 2019 recorded 698 235 registered employees in Albania.”

Rama shared data obtained from the labor register of the Republic of Albania, adding that there are 225 thousand more registered employees.

“I am starting from a figure, though it is the same old story repeated for propaganda purposes. We have promised 300 thousand jobs and today simply by referring to the figures, not the surveys, not the statistics drawn from the surveys, just the figures on the labor register in Albania, they indicate 225 thousand more registered employees compared to 2013, ” said Rama.

Rama went on saying that 225 thousand more Albanians get paid and pay social insurance contributions according to their work position.

“I cite this example to say that in every direction, in every facet of life, the situation is the same. The situation today is in stark contrast to what it was like when took office, and in relation to our target it is as different as night and day,” said Rama.

PM went on saying that people have no choice but to see that we are on the construction site, where what is built, what remains to be built and who can build it, is clearly visible,” he said.
