TIRANA, Jan.13 /ATA/- The Central Election Commission is in the phase of evaluating the economic bid and the technical solution provided by the economic operator “Smartmatic”, regarding the process of biometric identification of voters and their post-election verification.
State Election Commissioner, Ilirjan Celibashi has sent a letter to political parties providing information about the procedures followed by the CEC for the procurement of information technology systems/equipment related to biometric identification of voters and their post-election verification.
The letter published by the CEC states that, “only 6 companies had completed the registration process on the website of the Public Procurement Agency.
As a result, only these companies received the invitation to participate in the procurement procedure. //a.i/
