TIRANA, January 7 /ATA/ In context of curing the past of the communist regime, the Authority for Information on Former State Security Documents has handled 268 individual requests.
In addition to institutional claims, throughout 2020, the Authority has handled claims of individuals in the capacity of affected persons, third parties, relatives of the deceased or missing, collaborators or favored by the former State Security.
Applications are received physically, at the premises of the Authority and online, through the official website of the institution.
During 2020, 268 individual requests were submitted for treatment, addressed in 40 meetings of the Authority and 476 decisions were taken.
The Authority has processed and closed 498 individual requests, about 119,000 pages made available.
In addition, 15 requests for disclosure of collaborators were handled responsibly. The decisions of the Authority for individual requests are published regularly on the official website and in the bi-monthly bulletins of the activity of the institution. /j.p/r.e/p.s./
