TIRANA, Jan.7/ATA/- The Bank of Albania (BoA)expects to increase the foreign exchange reserve by over 56 million euros during 2021.
During this year it is planned to hold 14 auctions for the sale of treasury bills worth about 4-6 million euros in each auction. In total, the estimated amount to be purchased is 56-84 million euros.
According to the calendar published by the Bank of Albania, the first auction for the purchase of currency in the domestic foreign exchange market is expected to take place on February 19, 2021.
At the end of November, the foreign exchange reserve of the Bank of Albania was worth EUR 3.87 billion. //a.i/
