TIRANA, Dec 30 /ATA/ From January 1 next year, invoices to be issued to public / state entities must be electronic invoices, which will be exchanged via the central invoicing platform.
The Minister of Finance and Economy, Anila Denaj, announced that this is the first step forward in adopting an innovative system, which facilitates and accelerates the work processes and communication with the Tax Administration.
Meanwhile, Denaj published the deadlines for real-time reporting of tax information.
The deadlines for taxpayers in Albania to implement fiscalization rules are approaching, with the first group of affected taxpayers—those that carry out business-to-government (B2G) cashless transactions—being required to follow new procedures for the issuance of invoices beginning on 1 January 2021.
1 January 2021 for B2G cashless transactions;
1 July 2021 for business-to-business (B2B) cashless transactions; and
1 September 2021 for all cash transactions (B2G, B2B, and business-to-consumer (B2C)).
Fiscalization of invoices has a positive effect on the entire economy of the Republic of Albania, but especially on businesses, as the automated exchange of electronic invoices shortens time and is safer.
