TIRANA, Dec 23 /ATA/ US ambassador Yuri Kim welcomed the adoption of the amendments to Criminal Code by Parliament of Albania.
Kim assured that “the US will continue to strongly support a transparent and inclusive process that leads to free and fair elections on April 25.”
“Today, in final session for 2020, Parliament approved amendments to Criminal Code, completing codification of June 5 agreement of Political Council on electoral reform. The US will continue to strongly support a transparent and inclusive process that leads to free and fair elections on April 25,” Kim said.
Parliament voted today once again, due to an irregularity in the previous session, the amendments to the draft law “On some additions and amendments to the Criminal Code of the Republic of Albania”, which received 91 votes in favor, 9 against and 5 abstentions.
