At Kruja Bazaar, tradition of working in loom goes on

TIRANA, December 22 /ATA/ Dallandyshe Tabaku is one of the few women who still uses the craft of working in the loom, a tradition quite widespread in the past, but with new technological developments began to fade.

Her 33-year-old work has made her famous in hand-made carpets throughout the Kruja Bazaar and this “fame” certainly serves to have more buyers.

Dallandyshe already works in one of her activities, where she deals with the production of carpets, rugs and all wool-based accessories for home use in the Kruja Bazaar, an area already revitalized that gathers tourists from all over the world.

“I have been dealing with this craft for 33 years”, she told ATA, adding that she does not have a profession inherited from her family, but that she acquired when she used to work in the former Artistic Enterprise of Kruja.

Dallandyshe uses her profession to provide work for herself and income for the family.

She explained that manual labor differs from that of machinery.

She also points to buyers of her work, saying that recently people who prefer handicrafts have increased as interest from both foreigners and local tourists has increased./p.s./
