Spiropali: Protests waning each day, cause for protest simply made up

TIRANA, Dec 14 /ATA/ – The Minister of State for Relations with the Parliament Elisa Spiropali stated Monday that recent protests in Albanian capital and other cities are abating and increasingly fewer people are participating, because the cause has been just made up.

Speaking in a TV interview, Spiropali that the incident was absolutely grave, absurd and tragic and justice should shed light on it.

Asked about the recent riots, Spiropali noted “the protests have entered their sixth day, yet they are increasingly waning.”

“It is clearly a made up cause that has already lost reliability and the protests are not staged to call for justice, but to trigger more injustice in order for the non-parliamentary opposition to achieve what it failed to accomplish over all these years,” Spiropali said.

“The good news is that they have figured out they won’t be able to gain public trust and support, no matter whether they show their own face or their masks. That’s why they have resorted to the most heinous way, if not criminal by using youngsters and children. This is because nobody wants to see their faces in a protest,” she added.
