TIRANA, Dec. 10/ATA/- The Council of Ministers approved today the draft law which provides for the establishment of the Railway Safety Authority which will guarantee the railway safety and interaction in accordance with the Railway Code.
According to the draft law approved at the last meeting of the government, the Authority drafts regulations and instructions necessary to perform the safety and interaction functions, defined in the Railway Code.
It also issues certificates, authorizations, permits or other documents when required for the implementation of safety and interaction functions, according to the specifications set out in the Railway Code, as well as it supervises and monitors, on the ground or not, all problems related to security and interaction, such as safety personnel issues and the interaction of railway entrepreneurship.
The Authority is a legal public entity, based in Durrës. The governing bodies of the authority are the Steering Council and the Executive Director. //a.i/
