TIRANA, Dec. 9/ATA/- Fighting corruption takes more than talk, the US Embassy in Tirana said today in the light of the International Anticorruption Day.
“December 9 is International Anticorruption Day! Fighting corruption takes more than talk, which is why the U.S. is the largest donor to the world’s leading anticorruption review mechanisms to ensure countries are living up to their obligations,” the US Embassy in Tirana said.
While European Union in Albania emphasized that, “recover with integrity is this year’s motto.
“Today marks the International Anti-Corruption Day. “recover with integrity” is this year’s motto. It focuses on recovery through corruption mitigation and it emphasizes that only with integrity we can achieve inclusive COVID-19 recovery. During the Week of Integrity we have seen a strong involvement of the private sector, civil society, media, academics, central and local Government, as well as many international partners, exchanging ideas about how to increase transparency, oversight and enhanced accountability. The fight against corruption is a fight of all of us. Say NO to corruption, say YES to integrity,” the European Union in Albania said. //a.i/
