TIRANA, November 10/ATA/The Albanian national team has begun training for the three matches of November, but the red and black flannel team will have changes due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the problems encountered with the clubs.
A part of the players gathered by coach Edoardo Reja have already joined the team and started training, while some others are expected to come tonight and tomorrow. The pandemic situation and restrictive measures of different countries have brought problems for the red and blacks as well.
The Albanian Football Association press office informed that defender Lorenc Trashi cannot join the team precisely because of the restrictive measures in Kuwait, where the player is currently playing. Also, the other defender, Marash Kumbulla is in a dilemma because the Italian health authorities have asked all the players of Rome to be currently in quarantine after one of the players of this club tested positive. Pending the response, the red and black staff hopes to have Kumbulla for at least the two official matches of the League of Nations. However, FSHF is in constant contact with the two clubs to get further information on the situation of the two players. The absence of the striker Giacomo Vrioni, who was injured, is also confirmed.
Under these conditions, Coach Reja has decided to call the two defenders of “Tirana”, Erion Hoxhallari and Marsel Ismajlgeci, who are immediately placed under the orders of the red and black technical staff. Klaus Gjasula is also expected to lose the friendly with Kosovo, as he will join the group on Friday, November 13th. For the rest of the group there are no problems and by Tuesday morning everyone will be on standby.
On November 11, the Red and Blacks will play in a friendly against Kosovo at the “Elbasan Arena”, while on November 15, the official challenge for the League of Nations will be played against Kazakhstan at the “Air Albania” stadium.
Three days later, on November 18, the national team will play the last challenge of the group in the League of Nations against Belarus at the “Air Albania” stadium./p.s./
