TIRANA, Nov. 4/ATA/- At the end of September 2020, total assets amounted to 1.59 trillion ALL or 12.8 billion euros, the Bank of Albania (BoA) reported on Wednesday.
During the third quarter of 2020, total assets in the banking system expanded by ALL 25 billion, showing an increase of 6.5% or about ALL 98 billion compared to the same period a year ago.
BoA reported that securities remain the instrument with the highest annual growth. In September 2020 banks reported ALL 100 billion more investments in securities compared to the same month last year.
While, during this period the total securities reached 557 billion ALL or 4.5 billion euros, according to BoA. //a.i/
