TIRANA, November 3/ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama stated today that the process of reconstruction of educational buildings is positive and the new schools will host 14 thousand children. On November 26, the first part of schools that are directly funded by the state budget will open their doors.
During the weekly press conference where he spoke today about the impact of the Reconstruction program on the economy and employment, PM Rama informed that part of the reconstruction of schools will be covered with European Commission funding and the process is towards the end from the point of view of all contracts. Soon, he said, we will be opening the foundations for the rest of the schools.
“Within this year, 37 educational facilities will be reconstructed, for which 40 million dollars will be spent from the state budget. With the projects of schools and kindergartens we are in an advanced stage and we can say that we have completed more or less 60% of the works foreseen so far, while for the infrastructure we are at the level of 30% of the construction works “, – Rama emphasized.
The head of government said that, “There is still a need to ask families for a little more patience”.
“Let no one forget that the Reconstruction process has had a major obstacle created by the general quarantine. This process has another aspect related to the donors, with whom we have of course progressed slower than with the state budget funds due to their administrative procedures, which we must respect to the end, because as I have explained several times that donors do not provide direct funds in the state budget nor do they leave it to the Albanian government “, said Rama./k.s/j.p/p.s./
