TIRANA, Oct 29 /ATA/ Minister of Justice, Etilda Gjonaj, assured today that “we are fully committed to have stable and dedicated structures in the fight against corruption at every level.”

“In the follow-up to the very good results of anti-corruption task force, we have set up the anti-corruption network of coordinators in 17 main agencies of public administration, in the most crucial sectors, also susceptible to corruption,” said Gjonaj.

She stressed that “coordinators serve as the citizens ‘advocates in the fight against corruption by receiving and double checking citizens’ report of corrupt practices.”

“The open call to serve in this difficult mission has been answered by a large number of candidates. After a process of verification and assessment for their professional proficiency and integrity, I am glad to say that we have managed to absorb the best candidates,” she said.
This mechanism, according to Gjonaj, is supported by a task force set up at the Ministry of Justice and will definitely achieve positive results in identifying and investigating cases of corruption in public administration.
