TIRANA, October 15/ATA/ In the city of Gjirokastra, there is work underway to restore to identity of cobbled streets, one of the representative values of the stone city.
The Maintenance Sector, in the Directorate of Public Services, is working for the restoration of the characteristic alleys in the “Palorto”, “Varrosh” neighborhoods, the area of the Castle, etc.
During the works, the stone-cutters respect the construction tradition of the cobblestones, an added value to tourism as well.
The Municipality of Gjirokastra is investing more and more for the revitalization of tradition resources./k.s/j.p/p.s./
