TIRANA, Sept 18 /ATA/ This year the farmers, in addition to the funds from the National Support Scheme for Agriculture 2020, also access funding from the IPARD II program, the third call of which will open in October this year.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Dhimo Kote, said on Thursday for ATA that “financial support schemes from the IPARD II Program are boosting the growth of domestic agricultural production and the demand of farmers and agribusiness to receive grants for investments in this sector is constantly growing. ”
Kote stressed that, “the third call for the IPARD II Program will be for agricultural machinery and production technologies. The criteria for application include the registration of farmer in NBC, NIPT, land title or at least a 10-year lease.
EUR 57.68 million was the fund available to farmers in the second call of IPARD II, divided into three different support measures: “Investments in physical assets of agricultural farms” with special focus on sectors: Milk, meat, fruit , vegetables, vineyard.
