TIRANA, Sept 16 /ATA/ The parliamentary sub-committee responsible for oversight of vetting process in the ranks of the State Police, Republican Guard and Service for Internal Issues and Complaints, held the next informative meeting with the chairwoman of the National Security Committee, Ermonela Felaj, in the premises where this committee operates.
Felaj said that the process is up and running. “In October, the third lot is drawn, after 92 police employees previously chosen by lot for vetting,” she said.
Felaj pointed out that “changes to the law are intended not only to support the vetting process, but also to ensure its continuum and completion in due course.”
However, she said, we need to put some sort of positive pressure on commissioners to make sure the process will be simultaneously running for each troupe and will be complete in due course.
