TIRANA, September 16/ATA/- In the domestic foreign exchange market, on Wednesday the lek depreciated against foreign currencies, different from yesterday, when it strengthened its position against foreign currencies.
According to the official exchange rate of the Bank of Albania, the US dollar is exchanged at 104.64 lek or 0.17 lek more than on Tuesday. The European currency strengthened by 0.05 lek and is exchanged today at 124.13 lek.
While the British pound gained ground significantly against the Lek by 0.50 Lek and is exchanged at the quota of 125.15 Lek, just as the Swiss franc strengthened today by 0.19 Lek and is exchanged at 115.50 Lek.
The Bank of Albania announces that the foreign exchange market is stable and fluctuations are addressed to supply and demand as well as changes in international stock exchanges. /a.a/p.s./
