TIRANA, Sept 14 /ATA/ Tirana mayor, Erion Veliaj, expressed his confidence that the majority will secure over 74 mandates in upcoming elections.
During a televised interview, Veliaj stated that citizens are clear about the distinction between Prime Minister Rama, who is fighting with the fervor of 2013 for a third term of office, and Lulzim Basha, who is still on the beach.
“The one who wants to run the government does not want to compete in Tirana, added to that he is reported to be on the beach. Whereas Prime Minister held the morning meetings, went to Turkey, finished the diplomatic meetings, returned, we just finished the meeting at the headquarters and it seems to me that Edi Rama is fighting with the same energy as in 2013 for the third term of office. Meanwhile, the opposition head is still on the beach and I wish him a happy holiday. I am not prejudging anyone, it is clear who is passionate about governing this country working non-stop from morning to the evening and who has taken it lightly and does not seem serious neither about the offer nor about the confrontation of records ,” stressed Veliaj.
