TIRANA, September 13/ATA/ The 9-grade school “Jeronim de Rada” is ready to welcome its students on Monday, completely reconstructed after 54 years, with the support of the Qatar Foundation.
During the inauguration ceremony, Mayor of Tirana Erion Veliaj expressed his enthusiasm for the reopening of the school, which thus joins new or reconstructed schools that are already ready to welcome students for the new school year.
Yesterday we signed a $ 5 million agreement for the construction of two new schools, “Lasgush Poradeci” in Kombinat quarter and “1 Qershori” in Peza, as well as Kindergarten 42 in the area of the former Block.
“There is no better news than building and opening schools,” said Veliaj. He stressed that those who criticize today, when they ran the Municipality of Tirana, showed that they were not able to build even a single school.

The “Jeronin de Rada” School is just one of the new institutions in the capital. The gift of the Municipality of Tirana, together with the government and its friends, for the capital are 28 schools. “We will continue with the three new schools we signed yesterday, which go to a total of 11 schools affected by the earthquake, plus 17 others that are in the process.
