TIRANA, September 4 /ATA/ Eugena Tomini, Head of Surveillance and Epidemic Intelligence Service at the Institute of Public Health explained the possible scenarios of infection cases after the return of students to schools.
Tomini said, among other things, that in whatever situation, doctors in schools are ready to identify every case.
“There is an increased risk in terms of age group that is not aware in terms of hygienic conditions. For the first grade up to the fifth grade we have a recommendation in wearing the mask and the class above the fifth that is mandatory to be worn in all school premises. As for the doctors in the schools, they are ready to identify every case,” she said.
“Certainly the epidemiological investigation decides which persons or which children will be in isolation, so that they will be isolated for 14 days and who will not be isolated. In case we have a class or a group of students the whole class will be isolated for 14 days, the whole class will be suspended. If we have an epidemic outbreak within a school structure, of course the scenario is extreme, but it will be monitored and evaluated depending on the situation for the closure of that school or not”, explained Tomini. z.tosku // a.a / r.e/p.s./
