TIRANA, September 4/ATA/- In the second quarter of 2020, production prices decreased by 4.1%, compared to the second quarter of 2019, the Albanian Institute of Statistics (INSTAT) reported on Friday.
While, compared to the first quarter of this year (January-March 2020), production prices decreased by 2%.
Production prices in the extractive industry recorded highest decline of 32%.
The largest decrease in production prices was recorded in the activity “extraction of crude oil and natural gas” by 55.8%, mainly in April.
In the second quarter of 2020, the Producer Price Index (PPI) for domestic products decreased by 3.1% compared to the same period of the previous year.
Production prices in the activity “extractive industry” and Electricity, gas” recorded the largest decrease respectively by 24.3% and 2.3%. //a.i/
