New academic year/ 1097 schools will provide normal learning, 472 combined classes and 183 three-shift learning

TIRANA, Sept 1 /ATA/ – By I. Vata/ “1097 schools will provide normal classes, 472 schools combined learning, 183 schools three- shift education,” said director of the Agency for Pre-University Education Quality Assurance, Gerti Janaqi, in a televised interview.

Regarding the teaching process, Janaqi said that “Prime Minister Rama and Minister Shahini had a conversation with the directors of education offices, with regional directors about the measures that the Ministry of Education has taken in the last two weeks. It has been intensively working not only by conducting in-depth studies and cooperating with our counterparts outside Albania, as EU members , but also by looking at the Albanian terrain, the Albanian specifics. ”

“Out of all the detailed analyzes across the country, about 1097 schools have the opportunity to carry out a normal learning process without shifts, 472 schools will conduct combined learning process, with shifts and online, and 183 schools will carry out 3- shift learning, here I mean the overlap of schools that are damaged by the earthquake, and this is the reason why certain schools will operate three shift learning, ” said Janaqi.
Regarding the three-shift learning, Janaqi said that “the instruction is very specific, there is no general approach, instead it leaves room for school principals to take measures according to specifics, territory and physical space. In schools with 3 shifts in all methodological specifics, we suggest to school principals who start lessons early in the morning that the classes will be 30 minutes with groups of 20 people, maintaining the distance of 1.5 m and safety protocols.
“This year there are two novelties that will be of service. First, unlike last year, all modules of this academic year have been recorded on RTSH Shkolla and online lessons can be attended all over Albania via RTSH shkolla as well as online platform,” he said.
