He answered the question about the chances of the proposal to facilitate the dialogue in Belarus before the special meeting of the Permanent Council on the situation in Belarus, the dinner with the US Deputy Secretary of State but also with representatives of the troika as well as several more meetings with representatives of OSCE participating States.
“This is certainly an OSCE effort,” he said. “I am very glad that our initiative received such attention and such great support. It is a support that is a great responsibility, but at the same time goes towards a process where the OSCE will not be a mediator or negotiator, but a facilitator of a communication process that is completely absent and that is necessary at the moment in Belarus “, said Rama.
“It is nothing new what the opposition in Tirana is used to doing in foreign languages, that is, when it comes to engagements outside the borders of Albania and when it comes to representing Albania. It is a great shame that unfortunately no other opposition in Europe does. So their shame is no problem, I’m used to it. This is not about me, this is about Albania for its most dignified representation and I feel good and I am proud that with the chairmanship of the OSCE we put Albania in another focus and increase the respect of partners for Albania as a player who, when it takes a task in the international arena, plays it successfully “, Rama said in connection with the reactions of the opposition in Tirana.
PM Rama also spoke about the elections in Montenegro.
“It simply came to our notice then. The acting FM Gent Cakaj has worked with the Albanian factor.
