TIRANA, August 19/ATA/- Chicken meat production in Albanian has seen an increase over the past 10 years.
According to the official data published by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD), at the end of 2019 in Albania have been produced 20,025 tons of chicken meat compared to 17,000 tons at the end of 2010.
Meanwhile, the import growth rates were higher than growth rates of domestic production.
At the end of 2019, have been imported 28,792 tons of chicken meat compared to 19,960 tons at the end of 2010.
INSTAT reported that, the number of poultry in 2019 across the country is estimated at 8,179 thousand, among them 5,004 thousand chickens. //a.i/
