TIRANA, Aug 6 /ATA/ – The Minister of Interior Sander Lleshaj noted on Thursday that public security and safety is currently at its highest level, close to the region’s average.
“Public safety and security in Albania at its highest recorded level, close to the region’s average, yet still lagging behind our objective for more security in the country,” Lleshaj said.
“Citizens deserve more and that’s why police will commit stronger to ensure public safety,” he added.
Official data show that 74 homicides were committed in 2013, 31 in 2019 and 28 premeditated murders were committed in the first seven months of 2020.
