TIRANA, Aug 3 /ATA/ After the Presidency, it was the National Council of Democratic Party that approved the makeup of Commission for Evaluation of DP candidates, which includes political personalities of DP and representatives of civil society and academia.
The Evaluation Commission, a reliable structure with integrity, will select the candidates proposed for MP from DP membership. This is the first time in Albania, where the candidates are not selected by the Party head, but are proposed directly from the membership and, afterwards, are selected by a special commission to be sent back to the membership for decision-making.
The process for selection of candidates that DP is applying is a novelty in the Albanian politics and our region.
The process which involves the contribution of DP membership through proposal of candidates is designed to promote inclusiveness and further democratization of DP, according to Basha.
