TIRANA, July 20/ATA/- “Tirana” won on Sunday evening Albania’s championship title for the 25th time in history.
The team of white and blue striped flannels won on Saturday afternoon against “Flamurtari” with the score 2-0. They also enjoyed the loss of “Kukës”, the closest follower, at the “Loro Boriçi” stadium against “Vllaznia”.
Thus, “Tirana” began the celebration of the champion title two weeks before the end of the Superliga as the Northeastern team cannot make the necessary 7-points.
“Tirana” President Refik Halili expressed his satisfaction at club winning another trophy which he said was thanks to the great job done.
Halili said that the title is an occasion of a great celebration, but because of the coronavirus it can be just a symbolic feast.
Speaking about the future of the Coach Egbo, the president said that he is the first foreign coach winning the title of champion with “Tirana”./p.s./
