TIRANA, July 16/ATA/- The Independent Qualification Commission held today a session to announce the decision on the subject of re-evaluation Spartak Çoçoli, prosecutor at Gjirokastra Judicial District Prosecutor’s Office.
Spartak Çoçoli underwent vetting, a hearing session on July 14, during which he faced three classic criteria on wealth legitimacy, the ethical and professional criteria.
The jury composed by Xhensila Pine, Lulzim Hamitaj, Valbona Sanxhaktari evaluated the evidence and facts and decided to dismiss him from office. Çoçoli was not present at the session.
Spartak Çoçoli started his career in the justice system in 1991 and worked for more than two decades in Gjirokastra Prosecutor’s Office. In January 2019, Çoçoli was suspended from duty after his involvement in an investigation by the Serious Crimes Prosecution, where he was suspected of the criminal offense of corruption. His case is currently being heard in the Special Court of the First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime. /a.a/p.s./
