TIRANA, July 15 /ATA/- Under the chair of Ulsi Manja, there was held today a joint meeting of the Legislation Council and the Committee on Legal Affairs for the review of the draft law in principle in regard to some amendments to the Electoral Code.
Manja highlighted that the Political Council has reached agreement on the draft law on June 5.
Attending the meeting was the Commission of Local Observers, the OSCE, the National Democratic Institute, as well as constitutionalists Ilir Rusmajli and Viktor Gumi.
Following discussions by the committee members, the Legislative Council and the Committee on Legal Affairs voted 10 in favor and 5 against the amendments to the Electoral Code under the June 5 agreement./p.s./
