TIRANA, July 8/ATA/- The Albania’s Prime Minister Edi Rama shared Wednesday on the social media images of the construction works on Qukës-Qafë-Plloçë road axis, part of Corridor VIII, Tirana-Korçë.
This road attaches special importance to the development of the country as it connects Korça to Tirana, i.e. the main engine of the country’s development with its eastern development pole.
“Construction works on tunnels 1, 2 and tunnel 3 of the emergency exit have already been completed. After a long odyssey through which rehabilitation project and financial agreements neglected for years have resumed, work is underway on construction of stabilizer layers, aimed at asphalt pavement of the tunnels and the spaces between them,” the premier Rama said.
The investment in this road axis will have a direct impact on access of the businesses and producers in the areas of Korça, Pogradec, Librazhd and Elbasan toward the markets of the country.
It will also have a significant economic and social impact on the country.//a.i/
