Fier Bypass/ Tirana-Vlora distance cut by 35 minutes

TIRANA, July 2 /ATA/ Fier Bypass, one of the main works of Albanian road infrastructure, vital for the traffic, especially in summer, has opened on both lanes.

The Albanian Road Authority shared on Thursday images of this important road axis where 22 km can be travelled in 15 minutes at a speed of 110 km / h.

The Fier Bypass is of particular importance as it makes possible the connection of three axes: Lushnjë-Fier, Levan-Vlorë and Levan-Tepelena, but at the same time makes the South Coast easily accessible.

The construction of this axis and setting it to operation cuts the Tirana-Vlora distance by 35 minutes.
Fier Bypass is one of the key segments of the North-South highway. It is 22 meters wide, approximately 22 km long, with an investment value of 60 million euros and is funded by the EBRD and the EIB.
