TIRANA, June 23/ATA/- The acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj on Tuesday took part in the virtual discussion: “What does it mean to open EU membership negotiations with Albania and North Macedonia?” along with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia, Nikola Dimitrov, and the German Minister of State for Europe at the Federal Foreign Office, Michael Roth.
The discussion focused on the inalienable importance of opening the accession talks with Albania and North Macedonia, but also the importance of the integration of the Western Balkans into the European Union.
“Quite simply: Albania will continue on the path of internal reforms and without hesitation it will make significant progress towards EU membership,” Cakaj emphasized. //a.i/
