TIRANA, June 15/ATA/ The Albanian economy relies mainly on commercial activity, a phenomenon which is also observed in enterprises registered during 2019, the Albanian Institute of Statistics (INSTAT) reported.
According to INSTAT official data, the economic and commercial activities predominated over other activities, accounting for 30.6%.
During 2019, there were registered 44,324 commercial enterprises, out of a total of 162,242.
INSTAT said that, in 2019, there were registered 39,971 enterprises with 1-4 employees, and 1,658 enterprises with 10-50 employees.
In 2019, 197 companies engaged in commercial activity reported over 50 employees. //a.i/
