Licensing process for candidate clubs to participate in UEFA competitions ends

TIRANA, June 5/ATA/ – The licensing process for candidate clubs to participate in UEFA competitions in the 2020-2021 season has ended today.

The Albanian Football Association announced that the Club Licensing Commission, after examining in detail all the files of the men’s and women’s teams, has taken the final decisions which have been communicated to the candidate clubs.

Clubs have been asked not to make public the decision taken by the Commission so that the decision does not affect the competition. After the completion of the competitions, the Albanian Football Association will inform the interest groups and the public opinion on the teams that have been licensed and those clubs that have not met the licensing criteria and the application has been rejected.

The novelty of this year in the licensing process is that the teams of Vllaznia and Apollonia from women’s football have been included. Albania will be represented next season in the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, UEFA Women’s Champions League and UEFA Youth League with 6 teams./gj.m/j.p/p.s./
