TIRANA, May 25 /ATA/- The International Air Transport Association (IATA) introduces new rules for return of civil aviation to normalcy.
Aviacioni.al announces that a news has swirled in the international and national media regarding “Post COVID-19 aviation.” The International Air Transport Association instructs how it will fly after the pandemic crisis.
While all coordinated measures may be effective in preventing any viral resurgence, regulators are lagging behind in the much-needed formalization of harmonized steps for this preventive purpose. The way it works is explicitly sanctioned in the aviation regulatory system, Aviacation.al reports .
According to this announcement, on their own initiative or on the advice of various aviation associations, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) sets recommended standards and practices, which States or union of states like EU adopt and transpose in the legislation of their country.
“Only in this way these recommended standards and practices become mandatory and subject to the supervision of national aviation authorities.
To conclude, IATA may recommend but may not impose rules. ICAO has not yet formalized harmonized rules to prevent the spread of the following viruses. Let alone the states. We are waiting “- the announcement of Avicioni.al reads.
