TIRANA, May 20/ATA/- The Committee on Production Activities, Trade and Environment, chaired by Niko Peleshi, at the today’s online meeting, discussed annual activity report on Energy Regulatory Entity (ERRE) for 2019.
“Last year, water shortages in thermal power plants in Albania, decreased energy production in power plants,” the head of ERE, Peleshi said.
“About 57% of energy production is produced by the Public Energy Generation Association, the remaining 43% is produced by private/non private concessionaire power plants. Losses in the electricity distribution system were accounted for 21.79%, showing a decrease compared to 23.96% in 2018,” Peleshi underlined.
“While, in 2019, Albania saw an increase in electricity production generated by photovoltaic power plants,” he added.//a.i/
