TIRANA, May 9/ATA/- Europe Day held on 9 May every year celebrates peace and unity in Europe.
This current year, the day is special even for our country. Europe Day marks this year the solidarity between Europe and Albania in confrontation with COVID-19.
Prime Minister Edi Rama expressed his congratulations on the Day with a posting on the social media of the “Anthem of Europe”, based on “Ode to Joy” from the final movement of Beethoven’s 9th Symphony.
Albania’s aspiration to join Europe got revived this year while in March the European Council decided to open the accession negotiations with Albania./p.s./
