The Governor of the Bank of Albania Gent Sejko states that, “The postponement of loans for the current quarter has been formalized and we are all aware, it is a significant amount of deferred loans, approximately 2 billion Euros, but more is being processed.”
The postponement of loans, he said, is for those who have encountered financial difficulties, but I want to emphasize that in this postponement the banks have been proactive and have postponed up to 99% of the cases and those that have applied.
Sejko said that, “Banks have been proactive in general terms for loan deferrals, there may be some exceptional cases, but the fact is that 21 thousand cases of deferred loans have been approved so far.”
