TIRANA, May 8/ATA/ Another building damaged by the November 26 earthquake near “Shkëmbi i Kavajës” area in Durrës, collapsed today by a remote-control explosion.
The specialists of the engineering battalion of the Armed Forces Support Command carried out the demolition of the 6-storey building a few minutes ago through the remote controlled explosion.
The engineering specialists in cooperation with the National Inspectorate of Territorial Protection (IKMT) had been working for several days to carry out preparatory work for the demolition of the building, considered uninhabitable as a result of the earthquake of November 26, 2019.
The first floor of the building was completely destroyed which hampered the preparation work of the engineering forces./m.m//a.a/p.s./
